Softest Jelly Playdough Recipe

Softest Jelly Playdough Recipe

Jelly Playdough Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of cream of tartar
  • 1 packet of jelly
  • 1/2 cup of boiling hot water (add more if too dry)
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Method

Step 1: Mix the dry ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt and cream of tartar. Stir the dry ingredients together until they're evenly mixed.

Step 2: Dissolve the jelly

In a liquid measuring cup, pour in one packet of your chosen jelly flavour. Add the boiling water and stir well until the jelly is dissolved.

Step 3: Add the oil

Add 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the dissolved jelly mixture. Stir well to combine, making sure the oil is evenly mixed in.

Step 4: Combine the mixtures

Slowly pour the jelly mixture into the dry flour mixture, stirring as you go. Keep mixing until everything is well combined into a soft, dough-like consistency.

Step 5: Let it cool

Once the playdough is fully combined, let it cool down before playing with it. It will be too hot to handle right away, so give it some time to cool to a safe temperature for little hands.
